Hardywood Quadrawine Release and Screens 'n' Suds Fall Edition Preview Party

on Thu, 10/18/2012 - 4:44pm
Thu, 11/01/2012 to Fri, 11/02/2012

On Thursday 11/1/2012, Hardywood Park Brewing Company, Itty Bitty Press, and Screens 'n' Suds will debut their collaborative beer called "Quadrawine" to the world. The collaboration was brewed in house by Hardywood Park and Screens 'n' suds with art design by Richmond's Itty Bitty Press. In addition to the Quadrawine debut, Screens 'n' Suds will be showing the world premiere of their 2012 Fall beer inspired screen prints.

Quadrawine is Hardywood's first barrel-aged blend--a beast of many heads with many sharp teeth. Blending a ferocious 98 IBU barleywine style ale with a bourbon barrel aged abbey-style quadrupel, this monster will cut its teeth on your tongue with its high gravity mix of boozy heat, malty sweetness, and complementary hop character. Quadrawine will be available on tap for tastings on 11/1/2012.

Quadrawine will also be available on tap and in very limited, wax dipped, screen print labeled, signed/numbered edition of collectible bottles at the Screens 'n' Suds BIG EVENT on 11/3/2012 at Gallery5. For details on the Screens 'n' Suds Big Event, click here:

Since 2009, Screens 'n' Suds has been getting local and national artists, brewers and beer lovers together to celebrate the love of beer, art and music to raise money for MS Society and other charities.

This is event #3 of the Screens 'n' Suds Fall Event Schedule. Visit for info on the other events.

Looking forward to the new flavor! I brought bottles down to my recent trip to South Carolina cause I had to have all my friends try it. Also, art looks great

I went to the event and I have 3 points (all good):
1. What was in the Anniversary brew and do you sell it in bottles or growlers? It was delicious, I couldn’t get enough of it.
2. The Quadrawine was the reason I stopped by, but 5 bucks for a small tasting wasn’t worth it to me since I knew that, if I liked it, I wouldn’t be able to have much more. I completely understand why you were asking it, which is why I think you should make a larger batch of it in the future (or something similar, even the barley wine and quadrupel separate).
3. Super Fresh Carts was perfect for your brewery, any of the snacks paired wonderfully with your brews and brought out some smokey, nutty flavours in many of your brews that I never would have picked up. (ie - the candied almonds went great with the PB & J brew)
Thanks as always!
