Hardywood Hop Harvest Fest - 2012

on Sat, 07/21/2012 - 2:41pm

As we kick off the first official Virginia Craft Beer Month, join us for an afternoon of great tunes, delicious food and a celebration of the hop (the soul of every beer). This year, we're hoping to gather and sort hundreds of pounds of freshly harvested, Virginia grown hops for our community hopped beer, RVA IPA, which will be brewed within 24 hours of picking.

In the spring of 2012, Hardywood kicked off a "Community Hopping Project" by giving out 1,000 hop rhizomes to local gardeners interested in growing hops and contributing to a commercially brewed beer.

CRUSH the VOTE at Hardywood: Outside Magazine's Best Town Ever

on Fri, 07/06/2012 - 11:00am

Kayakers, mountain bikers and rock climbers love a finely crafted beer almost as much as their favorite surfing hole, singletrack or rock wall. On July 11th, we're giving them the best of both. Outside, the nation's largest outdoor-enthusiast publication is picking it's "Best Town Ever" for 2012. RVA currently leads the the vote. Our goal is to not just win the vote, but to CRUSH it.

Our special event will feature some of the finest outdoor outfitters in the region paired with some of the finest craft brews in the country. Sample the latest gear and the latest brews.

Brewdependence Day at Hardywood

on Thu, 06/07/2012 - 3:27pm

We'll be featuring the release of our newest beer, SB 604, a 3.8% ABV American Special Bitter served in commemorative mason jars, live music from the People's Blues of Richmond, and great eats from your favorite RVA food trucks and carts, culminating in 4th of July fireworks over the Diamond.

Hardywood's Independence Day Celebration will be open to the public and there will be no entry fee. Bracelets will be available for people 21-years of age and over to sample and purchase beer.
