You are cordially invited to join Hardywood West Creek and Greater Richmond SCAN for Trunk or Treat Sunday, October 26th, from 12:00-4:00 PM.

What is Trunk or Treat? Trunk or Treat is a different spin on Trick-or Treating where local businesses/organizations and community members park and decorate the trunk of your car and pass out candy as kids “trunk or treat” from car-to-car. Trunk or Treat allows kids to have all the trick-or-treating fun without crossing streets or worrying about traffic. In addition to trunk or treating, guests can enjoy family friendly fall activities, food trucks, and enter a raffle for a chance to win a few awesome prizes! Hardywood West Creek will be donating 5% of all beer sales during the event to Greater Richmond SCAN.

How to get involved: Registration for each car is $15, with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit Greater Richmond SCAN.

Please arrive between 10:30 AM- 11:30 AM for set up, taking into account how long you need to set up in your planning!

All treats to be passed out must be made in a commercial kitchen or factory production. Hardywood and/or Greater Richmond SCAN will inspect all treats prior to distribution. Please bring at least 1,000 pieces of candy. We do see large crowds for this event, and are increasing the number of trunks we have this year to ensure there is enough for everyone.

Mackenzie Roark and the Hotpants is an Americana rock band from Richmond, Virginia, blending the soulful roots of classic country, the storytelling spirit of 70’s folk, and the raw edge of rock and roll. At the heart of the ensemble is singer-songwriter Mackenzie Roark, whose introspective yet witty lyrics and commanding presence lead audiences on a journey through the highs and lows of life’s most poignant moments. Known for their powerhouse performances, the Hotpants round out Roark’s dynamic songwriting with the fiery tones of fiddle, electric guitar riffs, funky basslines, and tight harmonies. With each show, Mackenzie Roark and the Hotpants invite audiences to listen and reflect, while still movin’ and groovin’ along to their electrifying songs.

Caroline Vain is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist located in Richmond, VA. Since graduating from London College of Music in 2021 with a Masters degree in Music Performance, Caroline has released three original singles and performed in venues across London. 'A Song for You', 'Casual Love', and 'Better' are a brilliant introduction to Vain's versatility as a songwriter, and showcase her ability to blend introspective and poetic lyrics with memorable hooks and captivating riffs you won't mind getting stuck in your head.

Curated by Sons of Stone, this assortment of mystical items may be viewed, and even purchased, if a few… extremely strict… guidelines are followed, and the price is right. But a quick note to the curious; some items are too powerful to leave their protective confines! Be careful what you touch or you may bring something unexpected home with you…

Both born and raised in Richmond, VA, Colin Healy and Caroline Mauck grew up with a foundation and love for music. The now married couple attended high school together, and pursued music in different directions before reconnecting at a local spot in their hometown. They collaborated on several covers, adding their own unique spin and turning them into duets. From there, they began co-writing original music and growing together as singer-songwriters in lyrics, sound, and performance. What started as two individual solo artists, has since emerged the Acoustic-Folk power couple, and duo of “Colin & Caroline". 

Colin & Caroline's heart-warming harmonies, original lyrics and songwriting, and blend of creative covers first grabbed the attention of those in their hometown, as well as the attention of Spotify. The pair has built a strong following and accrued nearly 200 million streams to date. Matt's unique musical style is a result of his ability to use a looper pedal to record and layer live drum beats, bass lines, and guitar parts. With this technique, he creates rich and textured renditions of songs from various genres including classic and contemporary hip hop and R&B.

Django Tango is a Richmond-based jazz swing trio formed to celebrate the music of legendary French guitarist Django Reinhardt and the Quintette du Hot Club de France. Guitarist Russ Hanchin leads the trio alongside guitarist Chris Vasi and bassist Carter Blough.
