Sincerely, Iris consists of singer/songwriter Todd Murray. He has a sound that can be summed up best as “road trip music.” It’s a style that’s always changing, and always moving along. Whether it be gypsy-esque or like Kerouac's beat up old truck, shaking down the road at midnight, it is at once comforting, and somewhat unknown. The RVA Old-Time Jam has been running for 10+ years, and is a place for the community of Richmond and nearby areas to gather to play music together! We play mostly Old-Time Appalachian music with its roots in pre-bluegrass dance music. The jam is open to players of varying levels and ages who play acoustic stringed instruments, such as fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and bass. It is led by several experienced musicians, and we aim to play outside when the weather cooperates.

Matt's unique musical style is a result of his ability to use a looper pedal to record and layer live drum beats, bass lines, and guitar parts. Travel through time with Suggesting Rhythm in 2026 as we celebrate the evolution of the music of Grateful Dead & Post-Garcia Projects (1965-2025) — from the psychedelic 60s to the modern era. Each night spotlights a different decade and era of the Dead. Capturing the sound, spirit, and improvisation that defined generations. We'll follow along with the evolution of the band and post bands that continued after the death of Jerry Garcia.
Six shows. Six decades. One incredible musical journey.

Hardywood Richmond has a wide variety of beverages and food including beer, wine, cider, cocktails, non-alcoholic options, wood-fired pizza, pretzel bites, and more!
We'll provide all the gorgeous flowers and materials you'll need, as well as demonstrate how to create a beautiful flower arrangement. Bring your friends, partners, family, and colleagues, or come alone for a little self-love and learn to design with these lovely, late summer/early fall blooms.

Alan Same & The Difference are a local Richmond jam band with nearly 3 years of history in the Richmond music scene. Specializing in curating a charcuterie of jam for fans of nearly every niche, Alan Same & The Difference leaves fans wanting more of their signature spin. With a heavy focus on extended jams and high peaks, Alan Same & the Difference creates a high-energy and unforgettable concert experience!
The band includes two guitarists, a drummer, bassist, and a keys/horns player. The band has played a host of events around Richmond, including engagement parties, corporate events, and at businesses throughout the city such as The Camel, Ember Music Hall, River City Roll, City Beach, etc.

LIVE MUSIC: Madly Backwards
Madly Backwards is a rock band from Richmond, VA. Electric guitars, vocal harmonies, and deep grooves wrap you in the swagger of a well-worn denim jacket. They draw equally from indie rock, Americana, jam, and psychedelic music for a distinctive sonic palette and then deliver thoughtfully crafted songs in a high-energy rock show. The band is built on the songs of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eric Sites. The lineup is rounded out by Alex Martin on drums, Matt Morin on bass, and Jon Rasnake on lead guitar with all members featuring on both lead and backup vocals. Along with a solid set list of original material, the band maintains an extensive cover catalog, all delivered with the band’s signature sound.

Join us the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, on the Deck, for an open RVA Old-Time Jam!
The RVA Old-Time Jam has been running for 10+ years, and is a place for the community of Richmond and nearby areas to gather to play music together! We play mostly Old-Time Appalachian music with its roots in pre-bluegrass dance music. The jam is open to players of varying levels and ages who play acoustic stringed instruments, such as fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and bass. It is led by several experienced musicians, and we aim to play outside when the weather cooperates.
