Portico is a cover band out of RVA known for upbeat, genre-spanning sets, flute solos, and fresh takes on some songs we’ve all heard a bunch. Sets range from Patsy Cline to Dua Lipa, CCR, Chris Stapleton, Jamiroquai, Nirvana, Black Pumas, Hall & Oates, and more. If we like it, we'll play it! Portico features Ali Foley Shenk on co-lead vocals, flute, keys, and rhythm guitar; Elliot Johnson on co-lead vocals and lead guitar; Aaron Jonas on bass; and Adam Powell on drums.

Maddy Curtis Trio: Maddy is a versatile jazz singer based in Richmond, VA. You can catch her trio/quartet at various venues around town and VA every week. They perform her own jazz originals as well as beloved standards that provide lots of much needed heart & soul! Maddy's trio features: herself on vocals & ukulele, Jack Byrnes on bass, and Quincy Harmon on piano & trumpet.

We're hosting a craft rave (inspired by some amazing other cities), and we're starting strong with a y2k theme. If they played it at an early 2000s prom, we're gonna play it.

We'll bring the DJ, the space, some shopping, some activities, you bring yourself, your friends, your work in progress, or just some curiosity and whimsy.

We'll have areas for sewing, of course (along with a machine or two if you want to learn), but all crafts are welcome!

The RVA Old-Time Jam has been running for 10+ years, and is a place for the community of Richmond and nearby areas to gather to play music together! We play mostly Old-Time Appalachian music with its roots in pre-bluegrass dance music. The jam is open to players of varying levels and ages who play acoustic stringed instruments, such as fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and bass. It is led by several experienced musicians, and we aim to play outside when the weather cooperates. 

We’re excited to host a fabulous evening with Michelle Livigne for a fabulous evening of Drag Bingo!

Expect a few rounds of Bingo and a drag show! Come hungry with 20% off select pizzas for all of those participating, and snag prizes if you’re a Bingo winner.

Madly Backwards is a rock band from Richmond, VA. Electric guitars, vocal harmonies, and deep grooves wrap you in the swagger of a well-worn denim jacket. They draw equally from indie rock, Americana, jam, and psychedelic music for a distinctive sonic palette and then deliver thoughtfully crafted songs in a high-energy rock show. The band is built on the songs of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eric Sites. The lineup is rounded out by Alex Martin on drums, Matt Morin on bass, and Jon Rasnake on lead guitar with all members featuring on both lead and backup vocals. Along with a solid set list of original material, the band maintains an extensive cover catalog, all delivered with the band’s signature sound.

This program explores the rich colors and contrasts of wind and brass music across centuries. From the elegance and sparkle of Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik to the shadowed intensity of Shostakovich and Richard Strauss, the concert moves between light and dark, classical clarity and Romantic depth. Dvořák’s warm lyricism and Gabrieli’s grand, antiphonal writing highlight the expressive range of winds and brass, while Anthony Plog’s Four Sketches brings a dynamic modern voice to the ensemble. Together, these works create a vivid journey through sound—bold, intimate, and full of character.

The Yard Dogs are a Richmond-based rock band featuring John Bryson (vocals, guitar), Madeline Bryson (vocals), Drew Bauer (guitar), Mason Willis (bass), and Sean Mills (drums). Drawing inspiration from The Allman Brothers Band, The Rolling Stones, and Widespread Panic, the band blends soulful vocal harmonies, gritty Southern rock riffs, and improvisational jam energy into a sound built for a good time.

Something Borrowed RVA is Richmond's bride-to-bride wedding resale market. Recently married brides are selling their leftover wedding décor, centerpieces, signs, linens, dresses, and accessories directly to brides-to-be, all at a fraction of the original price. Ian Blackwood is the founder and writer behind Blackwood Station. He was raised in the Finger Lakes region of NY where he grew to love the freewheeling and experimental nature of 60s album rock from his father’s extensive record collection. After moving to Richmond in 2014 he focused on honing his talent as a mandolin and fiddle player in the local alt-country scene and currently performs with Woody Woodworth & The Piners and Dogwood Brothers. 

John’s love of music is profound…and it shows. You can hear the passion in his lyrics, his voice, and in his style of playing guitar. With inspiration from rock, folk, country, and blues, John is creating his own songs, style and sound…and he is excited to share it with a fast-growing following!

He performs as a solo artist bringing just his guitar along or he leads several bands that can provide a wide variety of musical experiences.

Join us at 6pm for a fun evening of Holiday Wreath Making at Hardywood Richmond! We'll provide all the live greenery, pine cones, dried oranges, ribbon, holiday accessories, supplies, and materials you'll need, as well as demonstrate how to create a beautiful holiday display. You're welcome to bring any other accents or ribbon you'd like to add. We can help you make a bow. Bring your friends, family, and colleagues, or come alone for a little me-time and learn to design with this festive holiday wreath.

Hardywood Richmond has a wide variety of beverages and food, including beer, wine, cider, cocktails, non-alcoholic options, wood-fired pizza, pretzel bites, and more!

Wreath classes typically last an hour and a half to two hours. Grab a drink and a bite to eat when you arrive and head over to the Gallery Bar where we will be set up and waiting for you!

Travel through time with Suggesting Rhythm in 2026 as we celebrate the evolution of the music of Grateful Dead & Post-Garcia Projects (1965-2025) — from the psychedelic 60s to the modern era. Each night spotlights a different decade and era of the Dead.  Capturing the sound, spirit, and improvisation that defined generations.  We'll follow along with the evolution of the band and post bands that continued after the death of Jerry Garcia.

Six shows. Six decades. One incredible musical journey.
