Hardywood West Creek Named 2026 Green Brewery of the Year by the Virginia Green Travel Alliance
We are proud to announce that Hardywood West Creek is the recipient of the 2026 Green Brewery of the Year by the Virginia Green Travel Alliance! For us, this achievement isn’t just a badge of honor—it is a commitment to being purposeful about protecting and preserving the environment and community in which we operate for the well-being of generations to come.
Since 2011, environmental stewardship has been at the core of who we are. Hardywood is the first brewery in Virginia powered entirely by renewable energy, including solar, biomass, and wind, through the Dominion Virginia Green Power Program. We work with local farms to reuse our spent grain as compost and feed, and a number of our beers are brewed in support of organizations dedicated to environmental awareness and protection.
Hardywood West Creek and Hardywood Richmond are proud, fully-certified Virginia Green Travel Green Tourism partners.
More About Hardywood
Virginia’s largest craft brewer, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery’s mission is to brew with purpose. This charge comes alive in thoughtfully innovative recipes, a commitment to using local ingredients, and an obsession over quality. Beers range in style from traditional to experimental, but there’s a story behind each one. Its top-selling beers include Richmond Lager, Great Return IPA, and the seasonal Gingerbread Stout. Hardywood operates a pilot brewery and taproom with a pizza kitchen in greater Scott’s Addition in the City of Richmond, while it’s primary production facility is located on a 24-acre destination brewery campus overlooking Tuckahoe Creek in West Creek, just west of Richmond, which hosts frequent festivals, and operates a taproom with regular food trucks, live music, bocce courts, and a disc golf course. Visit hardywood.com for more information on upcoming events and releases, and job openings.
