Fightin’ Hokies Orange Wheat Hefeweizen is brewed with over 50% wheat malt in combination with drum-roasted caramel and Munich malts from Weyermann Specialty Malts and the addition of oranage peel. Barke Pilsner Malt, a German heirloom barley varietal, rounds out the remaining malt bill providing subtle toffee and bread-like malt characteristics. This special yeast displays subtle aromatic notes of nutmeg and banana, a hallmark of German Weisse beer. Fightin’ Hokies Hefeweizen pours with a “Burnt Orange” color with pillowy white lacing and finishes with a full-bodied sweet malted wheat flavor.
